Weldwerks Little Man Salty O Stout

Review by John Staradumsky • July 25th, 2026

Well, this sounded good! I'm talking about Weldwerks Little Man Salty O Stout, which the brewery describes as a stout brewed with Ice Cream, Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, Vanilla, Sea Salt and Lactose. I love ice cream sandwiches, the classic kind mind you with chocolate cookies on either side of a bar of creamy vanilla ice cream. They're so good and you know, I don't think I have ever had a beer made with them before. I can't think of another style that might support them, some form of stout or porter seems a given though. Oh, and salt? That was an intriguing thought. So of course, I bought a can.

Weldwerks does not list their beers on their website. A Bing search revealed they posted about it on Facebook, but later deleted it. So, all I know is this is a limited release and a collab with Little Man Ice Cream of Denver.

Weldwerks Little Man Salty O Stout has an alcohol content of 6.5% by volume. Total Wine advertises Weldwerks Little Man Salted Oreo Stout at their Brentwood, Colorado store for $19.99 a 4-pack. The two beers sound very similar; did they need to remove Oreos from the beer and/or label? Does the "O" stand for Oreos? Inquiring minds want to know. My can was stamped 10/22/25.

Tasting Notes

Weldwerks Little Man Salty O Stout pours to a brownish-black color with a moderate creamy tan head and a nose of chocolate wafer cookies and vanilla. Taking a sip, the beer is light in body, and already that is a serious flaw methinks. It pops beautifully with the chocolate ice cream sandwich cookie notes, and then a hint of the vanilla ice cream, then the salty notes emerge as it wanders into the dry chocolaty finish.

Value & Verdict

I paid $7.99 for my pint can from Half Time. I could not find any other pricing.

Although I very much enjoy the ice cream sandwich theme here,  the body is just too thin to support all that's going on, and that had me wondering what could have been. Would I buy it again? I won't say I would not, because the theme has me beguiled enough to want to see if they pull it off better next time.

Buy It Again? Yes, I would.
