Little Wizard Hazy IPA

Review Date 4/17/2026 By John Staradumsky
New brewery alert! For me anyway. Yes, I’m enjoying my first ever beer from Vermont’s Burlington Beer Company: Little Wizard Hazy IPA. This is a New England-style IPA straight from New England, and I snapped up a can from Half Time Beverage when I saw it. They had two different brews from Burlington actually, and I got the other one too. More on that later.
Anyway, I went on over to the brewery website, and I found a long page listing their IPAs and pale ales. Little Wizard was none one of them, but I did garner this from Untappd:
Introducing Little Wizard™, our Mystically Delicious!™ IPA that distills the magic of our acclaimed Double IPA ‘It’s Complicated Being a Wizard’ into a more sessionable form. Gather your friends, share the legend, and let Little Wizard cast its delightful spell over your senses.
Little Wizard Hazy IPA is brewed with Simcoe, Idaho 7, and Chinook hops. It has an alcohol content of 6% by volume and I paid $5.49 for my pint can from Half Time. Total Wine sells it for $17.49 the four pack in Greenville, South Carolina, but it is a better deal at their Short Pump, Virginia store, where it sells for $20.99 a 12-pack of 12-ounce cans. My can is stamped 03/09/2026 on the bottom.
Burlington Beer Little Wizard Hazy IPA pours to a hazy yellow orange color with a thick fluffy white head and a nose of juicy citrus and stone fruit. Taking a sip the beer is light to medium in body and magically juicy. I get orange and tangerine citrus, stone fruit apricot, tropical pineapple, and at the last a long dry earthy herbal, subtly dank bitter finish.
Quite tasty indeed, Little Wizard Hazy IPA was the perfect choice for patio sipping on a warm 85 degree but low humidity evening in mid-April.
Glad I tried it?
