Dollar Slice 99¢ Double Dry Hopped India Pale Ale
Review Date 6/11/2025 By John Staradumsky
Dollar Slice! Is that even a thing anymore? What with inflation, it might be hard indeed to find a slice of pizza for a buck these days. If you can, it’s probably a lot smaller than it used to be. What you can still get, though, is Dollar Slice 99¢ Double Dry Hopped India Pale Ale from New York’s Other Half brewery.
Other Half says:
A hazy IPA brewed with a hand-selected blend of hops giving notes of lychee, passion fruit, and sweet orange.
I had been wanting to try Dollar Slice for quite some time, but I could never get my hands on it, so when Half Time had it available, a can went into my can posthaste.
Other Half Dollar Slice 99¢ Double Dry Hopped India Pale Ale has an alcohol content of 7.5% by volume and I paid $7.99 for my can (not 99 cents) from Half Time Beverage. Total Wine sells it for $23.99 a 4-pack in Greenfield, WI according to their website. Either way, this one is pricey. My can was stamped 09.24.09 on the bottom, a little disappointing since I bought it on 5/26. Still, it was quite tasty indeed.
Other Half Dollar Slice 99¢ Double Dry Hopped India Pale Ale pours to a hazy orange-yellow color with a thick fluffy white head and a nose of massive citrus juice and leafy mint notes. A thick layer of Brussels Lace forms on the sides of my glass and follos the liquid all the way to the bottom. Taking a sip, the beer is medium in body, about average for the style. It immediately pops with citrusy orange and tangerine juice with pulp and zesty bitter lemon rind and mango. Smooth pasty oats make the beer easy to drink. At the last, it’s pleasantly bitter and minty herbal again.
Maybe the best Other Half beer I’ve ever had, so so drinkable, and a five for me despite the high price.
Glad I tried it?

Would I rebuy it??
