Here’s a beer that the Wild Heaven brewery of Avondale Estates, Georgia doesn’t say much about, so I won’t either: Wild Heaven Peach Gose. Wild Heaven is the featured brewery at Taco Mac for July, and I’m kicking off the first pint glass night with a glass of their Peach Gose. Georgia is the peach state after all, so why not add some to a Gose?
Wild Heaven Peach Gose is a refreshing beer for the July heat, and its low alcohol content of 4% by volume means it shouldn’t slow you down too much. This draft-only treat isn’t too hard on the wallet at $6 for a 20-ounce mug (for me anyway), and that came with a free pint glass, too.
My mug of Wild Heaven Peach Gose arrived a cloudy yellow color with almost no head and a tart fruity peach nose. The beer is tart wheaty on sipping with luscious Georgia peach fruit and a hint of salt in the palate. There’s a tart finish too, but the beer is not as sour as I want in the style. More a fruit beer really for me but very refreshing indeed. Definitely passes the patented Bruguru “rebuy” criteria.
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
