Holidotz Cranberry Apple Cinnamon Lager
Review Date 12/25/2023 By John Staradumsky
A new Christmas beer for me! Yay! I just love Christmas and winter seasonal brews. I love drinking old favorites, and do quite a bit of that every year, but I always enjoy meeting new ones, too. And so I did with a can of Toppling Goliath Holidotz Cranberry Apple Cinnamon Lager.
You have to admit that a cranberry apple cinnamon lager sounds delicious, especially if you like cranberries (I love them), apples (I love them) and cinnamon (I love it). Here’s what Toppling Goliath says about the beer:
Festive, refreshing, and fun. One time per year we brew our classic Dorothy's lager with cranberry, apples, and cinnamon for a delicious holiday treat. Cheers!
Toppling Goliath Holidotz Cranberry Apple Cinnamon Lager has an alcohol content of 4.7% by volume and I paid $4.99 for my pint can from Half Time. Total Wine sells it for $14.49 a 4-pack in Tallahassee, Florida. My can is stamped PKG 09/21/23.
Toppling Goliath Holidotz Cranberry Apple Cinnamon Lager pours to a hazy pink color with a thick fluffy purple head and a nose of tart cranberry fruit. Taking a sip, the beer is light to medium in body, about what I expect for a beer like this. It’s full of tart cranberry and granny smith apple fruit and is puckeringly sour. The fruit picks up in the finish, and that’s where the cinnamon kicks in, drying the beer nicely and complementing the tart quenching character.
This beer is quite cider-like and very refreshing indeed. I would certainly buy it again, and will be on the lookout for it next year.
Glad I tried it? T
Would I rebuy it??
