You Like That?!
Review Date 2/7/2025 By John Staradumsky
Well what have we here friends? We have a can of You Like That?!, that’s what we have! This seems to be a rather new beer indeed from Georgia’s Three Taverns brewery. It’s not listed on their website at the very least, but I picked up a can recently from Total Wine. This is a “Cold IPA”, which is sort of kind of like an India Pale Lager if you ask me.
Cold IPAs, and I have only come across a few, are bottom fermented and lagers instead of top fermented with ale yeast. This leaves them clean of fruity esters and more lager like, though they are hopped with varieties more common to India Pale Ale. They may have adjuncts to lighten and leave them crisp and clean.
From the can label:
WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT to DRINK
Like a winning drive in the final moments of a football game, you’ll be screaming, “Yes, I like that!” after a satisfying drink of this Cold IPA. Brewed with lager yeast at colder temperatures to create a crisp, drinkable yet generously hopped India Pale Ale, You Like That?! Is bursting with tropical citrus flavor excitement. The closk is ticking so hurry back to the line and get ready to snap open your next can of this winning beer!
While I didn’t *scream* Yes, I Like That! after sipping, I did think it. That said, I do take issue with calling this an India Pale Ale. Brewed with lager yeast, it is more of a lager than an ale, though to be fair I am assuming it is not lager conditioned. So, I classify it as an India Pale Lager, but I will lump it in with IPAs, since that's what Three Taverns does. And who am I to argue with them?
Three Taverns You Like That?! Cold IPA has an alcohol content of 7% by volume and I paid $2.79 for a single 12-ounce can. They were selling six-packs for $11.99. My can was stamped CANNED ON 112124.
Three Taverns You Like That?! Cold IPA pours to a hazy light straw color with a thick fluffy white head and a nose of gently phenolic citrus rind. Taking a sip, the beer is crisp and refreshing, clean and light malty. It bursts with fresh citrus notes of tangerine, lemon and grapefruit. It finishes with a lingering dry earthy, minty leafy hoppy bitterness that satisfies and readies the palate for the next sip.
All in all, yes, I like that! And I will certainly be drinking it again.
Glad I tried it?

Would I rebuy it??
