To infinity, and beyond! Oh wait, that’s not right. OK, how about Space-the final frontier. No, that’s not gonna work either. I have it! A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away….That works, because a galaxy far, far away is beyond the galaxy, our Milky Way galaxy anyway, and sets the stage for me to introduce Terrapin Beyond the Galaxy Single Hopped India Pale Ale.
Terrapin Beyond the Galaxy Single Hopped India Pale Ale is a replacement for Terrapin Mosaic Single Hopped Red Rye IPA. Extra credit if you can guess the hop varietals each one features.
From the website:
Beyond the Galaxy single hop IPA is light years ahead of its time. Brewed with a mass of Galaxy hops for stellar flavor and aroma, this intergalactic IPA will take you on a voyage where no man has gone before.
Ingredients, from the website:
HOPS: Galaxy
MALTS: 2-row, Malted Wheat, Flaked Oats, CaraPils
Terrapin Beyond the Galaxy Single Hopped India Pale Ale has an alcohol content of 6.3% by volume with 69 IBUs. I paid $6 for a 23-ounce mug at Taco Mac and it goes for $9.49 a six-pack in cans at Target.
Terrapin Beyond the Galaxy Single Hopped India Pale Ale pours to a pale bright orange color with a thick creamy head of foam and passion fruit, citrus and herbal hops in the nose. Taking a sip, the beer has a medium malt base with citrus zest and strong passion fruit in the palate, wrapped up by a grassy long dry bitter finish.
A tasty, zesty showcase for the Galaxy hop at a decent price.
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
