Orange Diva Blood Orange Wheat Ale

Stillfire Brewing

Review by John Staradumsky • June 14th, 2026

It's June of 2026, and Stillfire brewing of Suwanee and Smyrna, Georgia is beer of the month at Taco Mac! That means four featured beers and every Thursday night, a promotional tchotchke with purchase. My attention was focused on June 4th and the glass giveaway (I am ashamed to say I do not have a Stillfire glass-yet). However, work blew up and I had to cancel my plans to hit Taco Mac that night.,

I can be delayed in a trip to Taco Mac, but I will not be denied, so I did get there with my son the following Thursday, and the first beer I ordered was an Orange Diva Blood Orange Wheat Ale. I just love the witbier style, and with the weather warming, it seemed apropos. Tonight's giveaway was a really cool team USA scarf for the World Cup, though truth be told I would still rather have a logo glass.

Kudos to Stillfire for paying tribute to Pierre Celis, his work on Hoegaarden White and Celis Wit definitely deserve a shout out.

Stillfire Orange Diva Blood Orange Wheat Ale has an alcohol content of 5.3% by volume with 15 IBUs.

Stillfire boats this beer won a bronze medal at the 2020 Great American Beer Festival in the Belgian-style specialty category. It also won "Best Beer in Georgia" at the Suwanee Beer Fest in 2021. It's not, and that definitely seems like some home cooking going on, but it is a tasty beer all the same.

About Stillfire Brewing

Every brewery begins with a dream. For Suwanee locals Randall and Angela Veugeler, that dream was fueled by a love of craft beer and community. In 2011, they turned that passion into the Suwanee American Craft Beer Fest-a small local event that grew into Georgia's largest craft beer festival and was named USA Today's 2025 Reader's Choice Best Beer Fest in America.

Through the festival, the Veugelers met Phil Farrell, a homebrew legend with hundreds of awards to his name. Together, they realized they shared the same dream: to open a brewery of their own. With Aaron Bisges, a recently graduated lawyer joining to lead operations, the team set out to make it happen.

In October 2019, StillFire Brewing officially opened its doors.

Tasting Notes

My mug of Orange Diva Blood Orange Wheat Ale arrived a hazy orange color with a medium sized head of creamy foam and a nose of bright juicy citrus. Taking a sip the beer is medium in body with crisp crackery wheat and more of the citrus orange. Bitter orange peel comes through, and with the spicy coriander leaves the beer dry and refreshing,

Value & Verdict

I paid $7.51 for a 23-ounce draft mug at Taco Mac and the beer sells for $11.49 a 4-pack of pint cans at Total Wine.

A tasty wit for sure, and the blood orange adds more juicy citrus than the usual wit offers. Generally the style is known for bitter orange peel, and that is here too of course. This was tasty indeed with an order of Taco Mac’s new onion rings while we waited for the wings.

Buy It Again? Yes, I would.
