Peachy Little Thing IPA

Well, isn’t that just peachy keen. Sierra Nevada now offers up Peachy Little Thing IPA, a hazy IPA with peach flavor from Alora hops. At least, they do for now. The beer is a limited time release as part of their limited hazy series. Sounds like the perfect beer for warm weather, though for my part, I enjoyed my first taste of it in November.

Sierra Nevada says:

This golden, velvety hazy IPA is dripping with peach flavor, balanced by bright hop aromas. Pick up this Peachy Little Thing before it’s gone!

I enjoyed the beer as a refreshing first beer of the night after a long hard day at work.

Sierra Nevada Peachy Little Thing IPA has an alcohol content of 7% by volume with 18 IBUs. 18 IBUs seems a bit low for an IPA, I think, but the modern beer geek palate seems attracted more to fruity flavors than bitterness. Sigh. Anyway, I paid $2.49 for a single at Total Wine, where it was selling for $10.99 a six-pack at the time. My can is stamped PKGD 053025.

Sierra Nevada Peachy Little Thing IPA pours to a hazy orange juice color with a thick fluffy white head and a nose of tropical and stone fruits. Taking a sip, the beer is medium in body and immediately pops with juicy hop and fruit notes. Fresh peaches compete with citrusy orange and tropical mango. The peach wins out, though the other fruit notes make a respectable showing. The beer finishes balanced with gentle bitterness.

As I stated earlier, I might like more bitterness in an IPA, but Peachy Little Thing is refreshing and quaffable all the same. I would certainly drink it again, especially if I saw it on tap at Taco Mac.

Glad I tried it?  T

Would I rebuy it??
