New brewery alert! For me anyway. This time it’s the Sibling Revelry brewery of Westlake Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. I’ll let them tell you a little about themselves, which explains their name. From their website:
Sibling Revelry Brewing was founded by a family of brothers and cousins from Cleveland who wanted to share their passion for great beer with others. Noticing a lack of breweries in the west side suburbs, the relatives set out to create a unique taproom and drinking experience rooted right in their own backyards.
Nice! I like it! Today I’m drinking their Sibling Revelry Swing State Dry Hopped Pale Ale, named because, of course, Ohio is a political swing state. Sibling Revelry describes the beer as follows:
A dry-hopped, light bodied American Pale Ale. A light malt body with a citrusy hop character leads to a dry hoppy finish.
Ingredients from the label:
Hops: Nugget, Cascade, Columbus, Mosaic
Malts: Pale, Vienna, Crystal
Sibling Revelry Swing State Dry Hopped Pale Ale has an alcohol content of 4.5% by volume with 40 IBUs.
Sibling Revelry Swing State Dry Hopped Pale Ale pours to a bright orange color with a thick creamy head of foam and a bold herbal and citrus nose. Taking a sip, the beer has earthy herbal tea-like notes, a bit of nutty malt, citrus and resin and a an alluring grassy finish.
An excellent pale ale with bold earthy notes from the dry hopping. Well done!
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
