Saranac Wee Heavy/Scotch Ale

Another new beer in the Saranac 12 Beers Sampler pack. Mahogany-brown color, generous head formation, hints of sweet malt and Scotch whiskey in the nose. Satisfying malty beer with rich mouthfeel, subtle notes of chocolate and to a lesser extent molasses, and sweet dark malt. Sweetish finish lingers on the palate quite a while after drinking. On the lighter side of the Scotch ale spectrum, but a truly delicious beer that I like a lot. Hope to see this one released in six packs. A great beer from a big brewery.
