Though Pyramid and Thomas Kemper are in fact the same brewing concern, I have become fairly accustomed to Pyramid producing the ales and Kemper the lagers. Thus my surprise when I first spotted Pyramid Sunfest a few months ago. The labels says the beer is "Crafted in the style of classic Pilsner beers." That means lager.
Sunfest is light golden in color with very good carbonation and a thick, foamy head. It boasts a hoppy, slightly phenolic nose followed by a crisp, clean malt palate and a deliciously brisk, tea-like, bitter Saaz hop finish. An excellent Bohemian style pilsner.
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
