This beer grabs your attention even before you open the bottle: the attractive label features an assortment of goats playing cards in a brewery and drinking (presumably) bock beer. I got a lot of carbonation when I poured, but the head quickly receded and left behind a thick, chewy copper brew with a sweet malty nose. Wow! The palate is packed with sweet malty notes and hints of molasses and bitter chocolate. Springfest thins out a bit in the finish, but is still very flavorful. A credible bock, and at 7.05% alcohol by volume, a perfect warming brew for late winter/ early spring sipping. In my opinion this is Pete's best beer to date!
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
