CH-CH-CH, HOP-HOP-HOP! Whoa that’s scary, don’t you think? I wish I had thought it up, but I didn’t. No siree, Bob. Or maybe that should be, no siree Jason. Anyway, you will find that play on the eerie chanting from the Friday the 13th movies on the label of a can of Juicin’ Vorhees Double India Pale Ale from Pariah Brewing of San Diego, California.

I know you’re “dying” to know more, so here’s what Pariah says:

Juicin’ Voorhees is a Pariah double IPA sporting an unstoppable depth of character despite its elevated strength. In the glass, it pours an opaque golden hue with a frothy white foam and pungent peach, grapefruit, and lurking soft tropical fruits on the palate. Brewing our fall seasonal is something we greatly look forward to each year and hope you will enjoy it as the nights cool and the foliage turns.

So, obviously, a juicy double IPA just in time for Halloween! If it lasts that long, anyway. Beer as good as this, you may end up, umm, killing a bunch of them well before then.

Pariah Juicin Voorhees Double India Pale Ale has an alcohol content of 8.1% by volume with 24 IBUs. I paif $5.43 for my can from Craftshack, not much more than the $20 a 4-pack Pariah charges for the beer at the brewery. I placed my order on 8/26/2021 and received it on September 1st. I was astonished to see my can stamped with CANNED ON 08/20/2021 on the bottom. I drank it on September 6th-very fresh indeed!

Pariah Juicin’ Voorhees Double India Pale Ale pours to a hazy orange color with a prodigious head of rocky foam and a nose of fresh squeezed orange juice. I had to decant and pause 3 times to let the head recede, there was that much carbonation. Taking a sip, the beer is medium in body, about par for the course as these beers go, super juicy with orange and grapefruit flesh, pith and peel. A zesty rind bitterness is present at the last, and the beer finishes a tad minty and bitter, with some alcohol burn.

I very much enjoyed this beer, both for the beer itself and the fun theme. What’s that I hear? CH-CH-CH, HOP-HOP-HOP! Whoa that’s scary, don’t you think?

Glad I tried it?  T

Would I rebuy it??
