This beer is brewed by New Hampshire Custom Brewers, relative
newcomers to the craft brewing scene (the label states that they have been
around since 1995). Loon Pale Ale is a rather delicate brew, which can be a
refreshing breath of fresh air in today's "bigger is always better" craft
brewing environment. It is a rusty gold in color with little head formation
and adequate carbonation. The nose is fruity and appetizing, while the
palate combines a hint of fruit with a very agreeable biscuit-like malt
character and a dry, slightly bitter hop finish. Very enjoyable.
