Stranger Danger Bourbon Barrel-Aged Peanut Butter Cup Imperial Milk Stout
Review Date 10/1/2025 By John Staradumsky
Stranger Danger! Better watch out for that! I mean that in more ways than one, because strangers can be dangerous. In the case of Monday Night Stranger Danger Bourbon-Barrel Aged Peanut Butter Cup Imperial Milk Stout, dangerous in more ways than one as we shall soon see.
Anyway, I was at the Monday Night Garage brewery location last March, and I bought some beer. You can read more about my visit here, should you so desire. It was my birthday, and I had been on a pub crawl, and I drank beer at the brewery and bought some to take home, you see. Included in the take-home category was a 4-pack of Stranger Danger.
Monday Night says:
This is a candy lover’s dream. This decadent double mash imperial milk stout has been aged in Bourbon barrels. We then conditioned it on a mountain of peanut butter cups.
Monday Night Stranger Danger Bourbon-Barrel Aged Peanut Butter Cup Imperial Milk Stout has an alcohol content of 13% by volume with 45 IBUs. I paid $20 for my 4-pack at the brewery.
Monday Night Stranger Danger Bourbon-Barrel Aged Peanut Butter Cup Imperial Milk Stout pours to a jet-black color with a moderate, short lived fizzy tan head and a nose of chocolate, toasted nuts and boozy bourbon. Taking a sip, the beer is medium to full in body, nigh luxuriant as it glides across the tongue. The peanut butter cup is obvious with soft milk chocolate and toasty nutty creamy peanut butter. The boozy bourbon is everywhere here, adds a slightly woody note, and the beer finishes warming with alcohol and a gentle grassy hop bitterness.
Like a guy with a chocolate bar ran into a guy with a jar of peanut butter and they both tripped and fell into a bourbon barrel.
Very tasty indeed and hits the theme nicely. I would like more body, but only a little more. 4.5 overall rating on my scale, with a half star demerit for the high price.
Glad I tried it?

Would I rebuy it??
