Choculus Pecan Pie Imperial Stout
Review Date 3/31/2025 By John Staradumsky
OK, so it was my birthday, March 14th 2025, and if you have been following my reviews in the order that I post them, then you know it started out at The Brick Store Pub with a pint of Bluejacket Smokin’ George Smoked Porter, among other things. Then it was on to Wild Heaven’s Toco Hills location for a few more brews (and more food), the first beer being Saint Dolly’s Blonde Bock.
Where next then? Why Monday Night, of course! I wanted to hit the Monday Night Garage, where I have never been, though I am a very long time fan of their beers. So that’s where we went. As fate would have it, this location is hidden behind some shops and restaurants including-another Wild Heaven location. I did not know this at the time, but I have stored it for future reference, along with the fact that there is a Hop City multitap here, too.
The Monday Night Garage is really cool, and they have a huge setup: outdoor patio, gift shop, pizza parlor-and of course beer! All in one convenient stop. I had one beer here, Monday Night Choculus Pecan Pie Imperial Stout. I bought a few 4-packs to go and a T-Shirt for my wife, too. I enjoyed my Chocolus on the patio with my daughter and her fiancé Chris. Chris had a 7 Deadly Sins Imperial Stout. Jess ordered a pizza, which was tasty.
Monday Night describes Chocolus as follows:
Barrel-aged dessert stout aged in Maple syrup and Bourbon barrels with chocolate, pecans,& vanilla.
Monday Night Choculus Pecan Pie Imperial Stout has an alcohol content of 11% by volume and I paid $10 for a 10-ounce glass at the brewery.
Monday Night Choculus Pecan Pie Imperial Stout. pours to a jet black color with a minimal filmy head and a nose of boozy bourbon and crushed pecans. Taking a sip the beer is full in body and luxurious in Mouthfeel. It pops with dark chocolate, intense bourbon, nutty pecans and rich maple syrup. Finishes warming with alcohol burn and bourbon notes.
This was delightful and a fitting nightcap for a truly wonderful birthday celebration.
Glad I tried it?

Would I rebuy it??
