This is an ale brewed with Ginseng from
the Hoboken Brewing Company in Hoboken, New Jersey. If ever there was a beer to
complement Chinese cuisine, this is it. The grassy nose of this amber colored
brew immediately calls to
mind fine Oriental cuisine, perhaps Thai Lemon Grass noodles? Strong hints of
Ginger and pungent spiciness are predominate here, the Ginseng works very well
as a seasoning, and blends nicely with a good hop bitterness in the
finish. Yet with all of the flavors going on here, this is a surprisingly
drinkable brew. A very original, and very enjoyable beer.
