Kuhnhenn Lucky Charms Lager
Review Date 6/2/2025 By John Staradumsky
It was St. Patrick’s Day, and I was having a beer. Actually, I was having a few beers, but hey. It was St. Patrick’s Day after all. One of these was Kuhnhenn Lucky Charms Lager, my first beer ever from the Kuhnhenn Brewing Company of Warren, Michigan. I had heard very good things about Kuhnhenn but had never come across their beers-until now. Half Time Beverage to the rescue!
There was no information on the beer on the brewery website, in fact they have little information at all there about their beers. But when I saw this listed at Half Time, well, I just knew I had to have a can. From the label:
Ride the Kuhnhenn Lucky Charms Lager rainbow of marshmallow like flavor with Leon the Leprechaun.
Kuhnhenn Lucky Charms Lager has an alcohol content of 4.5% by volume and I paid $3.99 for my 12-ounce can. Total Wine has it listed at $10.49 for a 4-pack at their Ann Arbor Michigan store, but they are out of stock as I type. The label calls this a malt beverage with vanilla beans. It is part of their breakfast beer of champions series. My can was stamped CANNED ON 02/13/25.
Kuhnhenn Lucky Charms Lager pours to a pale-yellow color with an extremely short lived fizzy head and a nose of light malt and vanilla that does suggest breakfast cereal. Taking a sip, the beer is very light indeed, thin malty and crisp. I get light notes of toasted grain, too, that suggest breakfast cereal, and the vanilla adds to that. It also suggests the milk.
This does taste like Lucky Charms! It’s a tasty little beereal that I would drink again.
Glad I tried it?

Would I rebuy it??
