Moon People Tangerine Wheat Beer |

Moon People! Get out of here! Are there really Moon People? I can’t say for sure if people live in the moon (who knows right?), but as far as beer is concerned I have had a verifiable sighting of Jekyll Moon People Tangerine Wheat Beer. I saw it at Taco Mac here in Canton-and I drank it. And you know, it was pretty darned good, too. I’m also pretty sure that the “moon” in Moon People might be a reference to a very famous (and popular) American Witbier: Blue Moon Belgian White by Coors. Classically, the Witbier style (think Hoegaarden White) is brewed with coriander and Curacao orange peel. For their Moon People wheat, Jekyll changes things up a bit as they say on their website, calling it a: Fruited wheat beer brewed w/ tangerine & coriander They swapped out the orange peel with tangerine. Not all that Earth shattering a change, then. Jekyll Moon People Tangerine Wheat Beer has an alcohol content of 5.4% by volume. I paid $7.51 for a 23-ounce mug at Taco Mac, a little high I think, and Total Wine sells it for $11.99 a six-pack in cans. Also a little high. My mug of Jekyll Moon People Tangerine Wheat Beer arrived a cloudy whitish yellow color with a tart tangerine nose. Taking a sip, the beer offers up delicious crackery wheat with juicy tangerine citrus and a hint of drying Coriander spice in the finish. There is some tart wheat at the last as well, and the beer finishes very refreshing. I very much enjoyed Jekyll Moon People Tangerine Wheat Beer over good conversation with a friend I had not seen since before Covid. It was the perfect beer to just sip and enjoy while chatting and laughing. I would certainly buy this one again. And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box. *Pricing data accurate at time of review or latest update. For reference only, based on actual price paid by reviewer.
