Harpoon Sticky Bun Stout
Review Date 1/1/2022 By John Staradumsky
I found a can of Harpoon Sticky Bun Stout that I had forgotten I had, so I drank it. It was really good, too. The beer is brewed in conjunction with Boston’s Flour Bakery and Cafe, but I will let Harpoon tell you more about that.
Made in collaboration with Flour Bakery + Café, Sticky Bun Stout is made with real Sticky Sticky Buns from Flour and features notes of toasted pecans, caramel, brown sugar, and cinnamon. This beer is best paired with the real thing (ready-to-bake Sticky Sticky Buns can be shipped right to your door!)

Harpoon Sticky Bun Stout has an alcohol content of 7.5% by volume with 15 IBUs. It was running $13.99 a 4-pack of pint cans at Total Wine when I bought my single. My can was stamped 03/13/23 on the bottom.
Harpoon Sticky Bun Stout pours to a dark brownish to black color (not opaque, light comes through when held to the light) with a moderate head of large bubbles and a nose of light roast and cinnamon. Taking a sip, though, damned if it does not taste like a cinnamon roll/sticky bun/coffee roll. The malt is not overly roasty and provides the doughy bun, the cinnamon laced through the beer is just like it is in the pastry, and a hint of pecan adds a toasty nuttiness. Sweet vanilla presents the sticky icing, too, and the beer finishes balanced but not overly roasty.
Definitely a beer I would drink again, if I get the chance.
Glad I tried it? T
Would I rebuy it??
