Harpoon Dunkin' Cold Brew Porter
Review Date 12/13/2024 By John Staradumsky
My tale of Harpoon Dunkin’ Cold Brew Porter begins with….The Clown Shoes 12 Beers of Christmas. Every year for the past several years, I’ve picked one of these up, but for 2024, I couldn’t find one. Apparently, Clown Shoes (which is now part of Harpoon), didn’t make one this year. More’s the pity.
In my travels searching for same, though, I did pick up some more Harpoon goodies (as well as a lot of other holiday beers). At my first stop, I bought a 12-pack of Harpoon Winter Warmer in cans. Of course, I’ve been drinking Harpoon Winter Warmer since it first came out in 1988. Living in Rhode Island then I had easy access, but luckily it has been consistently sold here in Georgia, too. This was my first time buying it in cans, I should add.
Stop two (Total Wine on Akers Mill Rd in Atlanta) had the Harpoon Winter Mix Pack, and that is how I come to you with this review of Harpoon Dunkin’ Cold Brew Porter. In the winter pack you get three cans of this beer, plus 3 cans each of:
Harpoon Dark
Harpoon says:
In New England we drink Dunkin’ Cold Brew no matter the weather. In honor of the days fueled by Dunkin’ when firing up the brew kettle, we teamed up to bring back a fresh take on this rich, roasty and robust Cold Brew Porter. Cheers!
Harpoon Dunkin’ Cold Brew Porter has an alcohol content of 6% by volume (the same as Harpoon Dunkin’ Coffee Porter). I paid $21.99 for the Winter Mix Pack. My can was stamped PKG 09/23/24.
Harpoon has sold Harpoon Dunkin’ Coffee Porter in the past, which is slightly different from this beer. But only slightly.
Harpoon Dunkin’ Cold Brew Porter pours to a dark black (but not opaque) color with a thick creamy tan head and a nose of roasty cold brew coffee. Taking a sip, the beer is medium in body, rich and roasty like a good cup of joe. It’s smooth and full of black coffee and coffee grind notes and finishes roasty and bitter hinting at espresso.
I liked this beer very much and would definitely drink it again.
Glad I tried it?

Would I rebuy it??
