Though it is a bit different from the Summer Wheat I've sipped in Gritty McDuff's in Portland, the bottled Summer Wheat is still a delicious, refreshing beer. It is light golden in color with a decent sized, creamy head and good carbonation. Ringwood is evident in the slightly citric nose. As I sip, I get a delicate malt palate with a touch of crisp wheat and a light citric fruitiness. A fair hop bitterness balances the beer perfectly and gives the beer a good quenching quality. A great beer to match with seafood.
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
