Here's my take on the Old Winter Ale:
Light brown color. Big foamy head, good carbonation. Slightly malty nose,
but doesn't really jump at you. The palate, however, is extremely rich,
malty, slightly toasty, a touch of chocolate. Lots of malt here. Very
rich, with a slightly buttery yeastiness. Slightly bitter hop finish
balances the beer nicely but doesn't detract from all the malt that's
going on. A big Christmas cake of a beer.
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
