Another Please! Altbier

Well! This might just be the best name for a beer ever! Another Please! Altbier by the Creature Comforts Brewing Company of Athens, Georgia. I saw this on tap at Taco Mac and I knew I was going to order one, because I love altbier, and I love Creature Comforts (it goes without saying that I love Taco Mac).I had spent the day writing SAP table at work, and hey, I earned a good beer.

I was going to have fun with this, too. I started the night with a Zombie Duck Hunter IPA. Because how can you have another if you haven’t had one to begin with? As I was finishing that oddly named IPA, my server Josh came by as he always does, and asked “Another beer, John?”. I replied (of course I did) “I’ll have Another Please!”. It took him about 15 seconds and he figured out what I wanted, smiled, and went and filled my mug with one.

There isn’t much information out there about Another Please! It is not listed on the Creature Comforts website, but they do say on Instagram:

A classic altbier inspired by the lovely beers of Dusseldorf, Another Please is made not with lager yeasts, but in the lager tradition. Dark amber, dry, and bitter; this beer style is something special.
Available now only on draft in the Athens Taproom!

Obviously, it wasn’t always only available on draft at the brewery, since I got it at Taco Mac.

Creature Comforts Another Please! has an alcohol content of 5.5% by volume and I paid $7.51 for a 23-ounce mug at Taco Mac.

Creature Comforts Another Please! pours to a dark brown color with a light wispy head of tan foam and a nose of burnt toast and roasted nuts. The beer is medium in body, with more of the roast and toast the nose promised. Dry roasted nuts, more toast, and chocolate chip cookies, and brown sugar abound in the palate, but the beer is not at all sweet. It closes with a dry bitter grassy finish.

Would I buy it again? Now you know I’ll have Another Please!

 Glad I tried it?  T

Would I rebuy it??
