Hazy Jumper India Pale Ale

Country Boy Brewing Company

Review by John Staradumsky . May 4th, 2026

Thank God I'm a country boy! OK, well really I'm not, but my mother loved John Denver, and I'm drinking a Country Boy beer as I pen these tasting notes, and that is good enough for me. That beer is Country Boy Hazy Jumper India Pale Ale, and it is one of four Country Boy beverages (three beers and a cider) featured as beer of the month for April, 2026 at Taco Mac.

I enjoyed a mug of this mysterious beer while watching the NFL draft with my son at Taco Mac. This was a Thursday evening, and normally you get a tchotchke with purchase of a beer of the month on Thursday, but by the time I got there, they were all gone. More's the pity. Had I been there on time, I would have received a can koozie.

Country Boy Hazy Jumper India Pale Ale is not listed on the brewery website, though they do have a beer called Cliff Jumper IPA advertised there. Taco Mac had no information on it other than the alcohol content. Untapped has it listed, but again, no description. Total Wine to the rescue! They have a quote about the beer. Country Boy Hazy Jumper IPA has an alcohol content of 7% by volume .

About Country Boy Brewing Company

Country Boy Brewing was founded in 2012 by three native Kentuckians with a passion for great craft beer. Country Boy prides itself on making minimally processed beers with high quality, real ingredients. Their passion for great beer shines through their core brands, Cougar Bait American Blonde Ale and Shotgun Wedding Vanilla Brown Ale. Their recent expansion to Georgetown, KY with the largest production brewery in the state will allow them to can their popular Cliff Jumper IPA and Halfway Home Pale ale, in addition to several seasonal offerings.

Tasting Notes

My mug of Country Boy Hazy Jumper India Pale Ale  arrived a hazy orange amber color with a moderate head of creamy foam and a nose of vibrant citrus fruit. Taking a sip, the beer is medium in body with vibrant citrusy tangerine and grapefruit. I get juice, pith and bitter peel, with the latter popping most in the bitter finish.

Value & Verdict

I paid $7.51 for a 23-ounce Chancellor mug at Taco Mac. Total Wine sells it for $12.99 a six-pack in Lexington, Kentucky as I type. About average these days.

Very tasty indeed with an order of Taco Mac's inimitable Buffalo Wings. I would certainly buy it again.

Buy It Again? Yes, I would.
