Boulevard Whitman's More S'mores Barrel Aged Stout
Review Date 8/30/2025 By John Staradumsky
Want some candy? Maybe you do, and maybe you don’t. Maybe what you really want is a beer. So, I’ll ask you again. Want some candy? Because here’s the thing. You get both candy and beer in every can of Boulevard Whitman’s More S’mores Barrel Aged Stout. Convenient, don’t you think?
The top of the can says After s’more you want s’more and after s’more you want s’more and….better be careful with that. You could get stuck in a loop and never get out. I almost didn’t.
Boulevard has done a More S’mores barrel aged imperial stout in the past, but I have never tried it. Now they are partnering with Whitman’s, who have a s’mores chocolate candy. Not sure I have ever had that either. Two problems solved with one can of beer. Beer saves the world!
Boulevard says:
Sometimes the most delicious things come from the simplest ingredients. In partnership with Whitman’s, one of the oldest and most popular producers of sweets, More S’mores brings the wonder of beer and the magic of a campfire treat to life in a single 16oz can. Stacks on stacks of graham cracker, roasty malt, and chocolate flavors with a toasted marshmallow finish.
Boulevard Whitman’s More S’mores Barrel Aged Stout has an alcohol content of 8.2% by volume with 25 IBUs and I paid $6.99 for my pint can from Half Time. Total Wine sells it in their Alpharetta store for $16.99 a 4-pack, which I think is high. My can is stamped 19MAY2026 on the bottom. That is a Boulevard glass in the photo, it’s just hard to see the black logo against the black stout.
Boulevard Whitman’s More S’mores Barrel Aged Stout pours to a jet black color with a thick creamy tan head and a nose of sweet milk chocolate, vanilla, and boozy bourbon. Taking a sip, the beer is medium to full in body and luxuriant in flavor. It’s sure and by golly popping at you with rich sweet smooth chocolaty Whitman’s candy notes. It really tastes like a chocolate straight out of the box. There’s creamy vanilla (the marshmallow), too, and although I don’t really get the S’more notes of graham cracker I do get (oddly) cherry fruit that reminds me of a cherry cordial candy. Some smoke would be helpful but isn’t here, but it does finish with a kiss of boozy bourbon and warming alcohol.
I did really enjoy this beer, and toyed with giving it 4 and a half stars, but I think given the price 4 is more appropriate. I would not buy a 4-pack at the price, though I might pick up another single, and I would be all over it on tap at Taco Mac.
Glad I tried it?

Would I rebuy it??
