Shabadoo Ale from Berkshire Brewing in Massachusetts is the real "Dead Guy Ale". It takes it's name from the nickname of a guy named Joe Rizzuti who got drunk with a friend, and then was accidentally run over by his friend in a driveway. It's causing an uproar in the area since alcohol was involved at the time Joe was killed, and some say that it's in poor taste for Berkshire to do this (though they make no money on the beer, all profits on it's sale go to a local food bank). Joe's mother doesn't have a problem with Shabadoo though,
she said he always wanted to be famous (the bottle sports his picture). Here's a toast to you, Joe, wherever you may be.
