This
brew recently became available in my area. I was intrigued, to say the
least, since the standard Bass Ale has been the only beer from that
company available here for the last ten years that I have been consuming
beer. Upon pouring, the beer yields a slight head and a deep tawny color.
The first sniff gives a bit of roasted malt and hops, these traits follow
through to the palate. The beer reminds me more of draft Bass than its
bottled relative, yet perhaps a bit more robust. A touch of diacetyl gives
the brew an almost Ringwood type character, though I doubt it is fermented
with that strain.
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
