Angler's Ale is a pale ale in the classic English
tradition. The label indicates an original gravity of 1050 and an alcohol
content of 5% by volume. Hops employed are Fuggles, Goldings, and
Willamette. The beer is deep tan in color, and produces a robust head that
clings to the side of the glass. The nose is a celebration of the English
malt used for this beer. The palate is equally malty, with a slight
biscuity malt character gradually yielding to a faintly buttery, floral
character, then finishes with a spectacularly bitter, dry fuggle hop
bitterness. This beer is extremely thirst quenching and delicious.
Unfortunately, as was noted above, distribution is very limited, but this
beer is well worth going out of one's way for. If you happen by Battle
Creek, I strongly recommend this brew
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
