Angry Chair French Toast Imperial Porter

I was at Taco Mac, and I was ready for my dessert beer. I had had dinner, you see, and of course beer with it. Taco Mac recently drastically revised their menu, which I found alarming, especially since in the process they dispensed with my beloved Sweet Chili Sesame wings. I ended up ordering their new Sweet Sesame Ginger wings, though, and guess what? I liked them even better. Win! They went splendidly with a 23-ounce mug of Prairie ‘Merica Y’All IPA, too.

Anyway, as I said, now it was time for dessert, and there were two strong 11-ounce dark beers I was considering, one I cannot remember the name of to be honest but it did win out. I ordered it, only to have my server come back and explain that the keg had kicked, which you may have surmised by the fact I can’t remember the name of it, and the other fact that I would be reviewing that beer right now instead of Angry Chair French Toast Imperial Porter had the keg not kicked.

I asked my server for that beer, and she came back with it, and I really could not complain about the other one being gone. Angry Chair French Toast Imperial Porter is a wonderful beer indeed. Angry Chair describes the beer as Imperial porter brewed with lactose, cinnamon, vanilla beans, and maple. It has an alcohol content of 11% by volume and I paid $8 for an 11-ounce glass.

My glass of Angry Chair French Toast Imperial Porter arrived jet black in color with a minimal film of head and a nose that really suggests that with vanilla and cinnamon, syrup and even egg whites (the lactose methinks)! A sip is full and luxurious as it rolls over the tongue, slightly chocolaty but bursting with maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla. Warming with alcohol in the finish, this beer definitely suggest the presented theme, and was truly delicious indeed.

I would love to drink this again.

Glad I tried it?  T

Would I rebuy it??
