Rocktoberfest

I’m a little late posting my thoughts on Almanac Rocktoberfest, but hey, I wasn’t all that late drinking it. I’ll tell you this before we get started: I received it on 9/26/2020 via delivery from Craftshack, and it was canned on 09/10/20. I drank it on 9/29/20, so it was less than three weeks old when I enjoyed it. I just have not put the tasting notes to a review on my website here at Guruofbrew.com-until now.

Almanac does not currently have a listing for this beer on their website, but the label says this:

Who says you can't break out the lederhosen and dirndls this year? It's always a good time for Rocktoberfest! This traditional fast beer is brewed with authentic German barley, full of rich toasted malt flavors with a light body and refreshing crispness. Enjoy straight from the can or pour into your favorite stein and pair with your favorite wurst! It's a party in a can and it just might make you dance your arsch off!

On the label, they call this a German-style lager brewed with Weyermann Barke Pilsner, Marzen, and Caramunich Malts. I paid $4 for my can, and I have no other pricing to reference. The bee has an alcohol content of 5% by volume.

Almanac Rocktobefest pours to a bright copper color with a medium head of creamy foam and a soft toasty nutty malty nose. Taking a sip, the beer is medium malty with light crisp malt, a hint of caramel, delightful toasty nutty malts and a crisp dry finish. A very tasty Festbier with wonderful malt notes, I am so glad I got a can.

Glad I tried it?  T

Would I rebuy it??
