Allagash North Sky is back! I saw it at Total Wine a week ago as a matter of fact. I first enjoyed this beer back in May of 2022, when I bought a crowler from Stout's Growlers here in Canton. I neglected to record how much I paid for it then, but I did take tasting notes. I can say that while I enjoyed it in a can recently, it was much tastier when I first enjoyed it four years ago.

Allagash North Sky is a Belgian Style-Stout, and it is a tasty one. It has an alcohol content of 7.5% by volume

Tasting Notes
Allagash North Sky pours to a jet-black color with a thick creamy tan head and a nose of dark roast and soft phenols. Taking a sip, the beer is medium in body, smooth and roasty, again gently phenolic, and hinting at clove and green peppercorn. It finishes roasty and spicy dry.
A can drunk July 2026 was less robust. Color was more brown than black, nose was gently roasty and again offered light phenols. The beer was definitely thinner in body, gently roasty, hinting at chocolate, and I did not get the peppercorn but did get a hint of the clove in the dry roasty, spicy finish. A bit of licorice comes through which I did not pick up the first time.
Value & Verdict
Allagash North Sky was running $13.99 a 4-pack at Total Wine; I forget what I paid for my single.
Tasty indeed, I would absolutely buy it again, and I think actually that I already did.
