These days, I just don’t have as much time as I used to. OK, well, I’m pretty sure I do have the same amount of time that I used to have, when considering how much time I have in any given day. Last I checked, days are still 24 hours long, and there are still seven of them in every week. It’s just that I am oh so busy, and I don’t have as much time left to do the things I want to do after I do the things I have to do.

All well and good Brewguru, you say, but what the hell does that have to do with Greetings From Weymouth India Pale Ale from Vitamin Sea Brewing Company of Weymouth, Massachusetts? Well, I enjoyed this delicious beer in May of 2023 and I am only here to tell you about it now, almost a year later. Because, of course, I just don’t have as much time as I used to.

It happened like this. I was polishing up my review of Dogfish Head Utopias Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout this morning when I happened to glance at my PC desktop. When I buy beers, I routinely scan the labels and six-pack carriers into my PC, storing the images in a special folder. I have my Windows settings adjusted to rotate my wallpaper out of this folder at regular intervals, and this morning, Windows selected the Greetings From Weymouth label.

That made me think. Had I reviewed the beer? I did a quick search of my documents and found only tasting notes. I resolved to rectify this intolerable situation, and so here I am. There is not much information about the beer on the brewery website, in fact, none at all. I can tell you I very much enjoyed, and I can also tell you:

Vitamin Sea Greetings from Weymouth India Pale Ale is a hazy New England style IPA hopped with Citra and Mosaic varieties. It has an alcohol content of 6.8% by volume and I paid $8.49 for my pint can from Half Time Beverage, the beer not being sold in these pahts. Ya see what I did there? Ya Vitamin Sea what I did there? I have no other pricing information on this beer. My can was stamped HOME SWEET HOME 03/30/23.

Vitamin Sea Greetings from Weymouth India Pale Ale pours to a hazy yellow orange color with a prodigious fluffy head of rocky foam and an inviting nose of grapefruit and resin. Taking a sip, the beer is light to medium in body, apropos to the style. It immediately bursts with citrus, the grapefruit again, pith, flesh and peel. It is smoothed out a bit with pastry oats, and finishes slightly bitter with a citrus rind vibe. Super juicy, some sweet orange juice/ tangerine are also present.

I very much enjoyed this beer and would love to do so again.
