Here’s a nice beer available only at Taco Mac, while supplies last: No Work All Play IPA by Reformation Brewery of Woodstock, Georgia. This is a fruited IPA, with passion fruit to be precise. It’s one of four beers from Reformation featured at Taco Mac as beer of the month for November, and is the 2017 winner of Taco Mac’s Southern Home Brewer’s Challenge.
Here’s what Taco Mac says about the beer:
With over 60 brews submitted, Reformation Brewery’s founders, brewers, and several other beer enthusiasts from around the city came together for 5 rounds of anonymous tasting and critique. Congrats to team “Too Many Lock Ins” for submitting their “All Work, No Play IPA” and winning the 2017 SHBC contest! Their brew will be included in November’s beer of the month featuring Reformation Brewery.
Every Thursday this month, you can get a unique, stackable beer glass that combines with the rest to form the logo at right. Neat, huh?
Reformation No Work All Play IPA has an alcohol content of 6.9% and I paid $6.75 for a 23-ounce mug with a free glass to go with it.
Reformation No Work All Play IPA pours to a bright golden color with a thick fluffy head and a soft tropical fruit nose. Taking a sip, the beer has light caramel malt, zesty citrus grapefruit and a sharp bitter finish. There are some nice toasty malt notes too. I like the way the soft tropical passion fruit and the bitter robust citrus play out together as I sip.
Well done, Too Many Lock Ins. And Reformation, of course.
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
